Daniel Bayssassew

Missionary Evangelist with The Cross Current

Daniel Bayssassew is a Missionary Evangelist (Raising Support) with The Cross Current. Having accumulated extensive experience in media production, the Lord has used Daniel to help the Church take the message of Christ to the world. Daniel also has a unique passion for conversational evangelism. Since becoming a Christian in 2002, Daniel has participated in various outreach ministries in both his home country of Canada as well as in The Bahamas, where he lived for several years. Daniel and his wife Sarah live in St. Catharines, Ontario with their four children, Benjamin, Abigail, Anna, and Elizabeth.

          Cory McKenna

          Founding President of The Cross Current and Equipping Evangelists

          Cory McKenna is Founding President of The Cross Current and Equipping Evangelists. Having served as a pastor since 2002 and an equipping evangelist since 2007, the Lord has graciously grown in Cory a love for His people and gifting necessary to equip them for the work of gospel outreach together. Cory and his wife Dawn live in London, Ontario with their two sons, Joshua and Caleb.

          Tyrell Haag

          Senior Pastor of Pineland Baptist Church

          Tyrell Haag is Senior Pastor of Pineland Baptist Church in Burlington, Ontario. Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Tyrell holds an Honours Degree in Theology (B.Th.) from the Baptist Theological College of Southern Africa. He has a passion for preaching, the local church, evangelism, apologetics, city churches and cultural studies. Tyrell and his wife Ainsley live in Burlington and have 3 young children.

          Rev. Dr. Joe Boot

          Founder and President of the Ezra Institute and Founding Pastor of Westminster Chapel

          Rev. Dr. Joe Boot (M.A., Ph.D.) is Founder and President of the Ezra Institute and founding pastor of Westminster Chapel in Toronto, Ontario. Joe is a Christian thinker and cultural apologist/philosopher. Originally from Great Britain, Joe has worked in the fields of Christian apologetics, worldview education and church leadership for over twenty years on both sides of the Atlantic. He has spoken and guest lectured globally at numerous university student events, seminaries, churches, colleges, and conferences. He regularly addresses pastors and Christian leaders as well as academic, medical, legal, and political professionals and has publicly debated leading atheistic thinkers and philosophers in Canada and the United States.

          Andrew Hall

          Lead Pastor of Community Bible Church and Board Chair with The Cross Current

          Andrew Hall has been a board member with The Cross Current since 2018 and
          currently serves as our Board Chair. His primary responsibilities include missionary development and bringing theological perspective to our gospel health assessment and training. Andrew’s passion for TCC is to equip more churches to know and show the glory of God in Christ through a love for the gospel so that this good news might go to the ends of the earth. Andrew received his education at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and has served in pastoral ministry since 2000. Currently, he is the Lead Pastor for Community Bible Church in Ilderton, Ontario and is actively involved with missions in the former Soviet Union. Andrew and his wife Melanie have four children and live in Ilderton, Ontario.

          Calvin Smith

          Executive Director of Answers in Genesis Canada

          Calvin Smith is Executive Director of Answers in Genesis Canada. Calvin has spoken at churches across Canada (and sometimes internationally) on creation apologetics since 2001. He is well known for his ability to engage audiences of all ages and being able to communicate theological concepts and scientific information in an easy-to-understand manner. Calvin was formerly on the pastoral staff of a church in Guelph, Ontario, overseeing the youth and small group ministries. Through working with young people, both inside the church and with a small group at the University of Guelph, Calvin personally witnessed the devastation brought to our youth by the teaching of evolutionary rationalism. Calvin and his wife Angela live in Ingersoll, Ontario.
